My Iron Phi Story
Welcome to My Personal Iron Phi Page
My Friends,
As most of you are aware, ΦΔΘ has a philanthropic partnership with The ALS Association with the mission of bringing awareness to Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and finding a cure for what is better known as Lou Gehrig’s disease.
One of my Phi Delt goals has always been to become an “Iron Phi.” Iron Phis are Brothers who have stepped up to raise funds to combat this dreaded disease. In order for me to gain Iron Phi status in our Fraternity, I must “select an athletic endeavor of my choice and raise over $1,000 in donations.” This is where I need your help.
My personal Iron Phi athletic challenge is to walk 340 miles, the same number as Brother Gehrig’s lifetime batting average, before the leaves fall & snow flies. This Iron Phi challenge distance averages out to over twice the distance of my normal walking exercise program. May I count on your support?
Credit card donations can be made online on this page or if you would prefer to just write a check you may. Make your check out to Iron Phi, memo it ALS Donation, and mail it to me, at 4544 Kent Road Stow OH 44224. I will record your donation on the website and mail your check to Phi Delta Theta’s general headquarters in Oxford OH.

How Does My Donation Make a Difference?
Your donation towards an Iron Phi athlete equally supports two very important things: Supporting ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) through research and support of ALS families and leadership development for undergraduate members of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity.
At the end of each year calendar year, the LiveLikeLou Foundation grants dollars raised through Iron Phi to fund its initiatives that support ALS research, scholarships to support the higher education goals of ALS dependents, and summer camp experiences for children who have a parent or grandparent with ALS.
Dollars used for undergraduate leadership development have and continue to help Phi Delta Theta educate more of its undergraduate members as they work to “Become the Greatest Version of Themselves.”
