My Iron Phi Story
Welcome to My Personal Iron Phi Page
I have be participated, in becoming an Iron Phi alongside 9 of my best friends. Between us, in a marathon of curling we played for 24 hrs straight in an act of bonding and in fundraising as a team of Iron Phis.
The event was one of the best memories of my life, filled with laughs and great curling, but more importantly, it was to help the ALS assosiation. It helped my friend, Chris, who is living with the disease.
ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. Motor neurons reach from the brain to the spinal cord and from the spinal cord to the muscles throughout the body. The progressive degeneration of the motor neurons in ALS eventually leads to their death.
I've set my personal goal at $2000. But have not reached it within the curling. This organization is something I plan on giving back to as much as I can so I will be doing another event by biking sun up until sun down with my father. It, too, should be an experience of a lifetime just like my first Iron Phi challenge was.
I hope you'll consider making a donation and I'll see you again when I decide to do a third Iron Phi event, which I'm sure I would because it's such a great organization and I want to help as much as possible.

How Does My Donation Make a Difference?
Your donation towards an Iron Phi athlete equally supports two very important things: Supporting ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) through research and support of ALS families and leadership development for undergraduate members of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity.
At the end of each year calendar year, the LiveLikeLou Foundation grants dollars raised through Iron Phi to fund its initiatives that support ALS research, scholarships to support the higher education goals of ALS dependents, and summer camp experiences for children who have a parent or grandparent with ALS.
Dollars used for undergraduate leadership development have and continue to help Phi Delta Theta educate more of its undergraduate members as they work to “Become the Greatest Version of Themselves.”
