My Iron Phi Story
Welcome to My Personal Iron Phi Page
The summer of 2014, I completed my first 5k to become the first female Iron Phi. This summer, I'll be taking part in the Iron Horse Cross Country Relay, a virtual relay from July 4 - September 22, 2020. The 4,044-mile route passes many landmarks that are important to the life of Lou Gehrig, and I am joining hundreds of individuals to complete this feat, all while raising money for the cause of ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease).
On Friday, July 10, I’ll be participating in the 4th leg of the relay by running 4 miles, and I hope to raise $444 for the ALS cause.
Dollars raised during the relay will support the LiveLikeLou Foundation, an organization dedicated to supporting ALS research to find a treatment or a cure, and supporting ALS patients and their families through collegiate scholarships, summer camps, service, and much more.

How Does My Donation Make a Difference?
Your donation towards an Iron Phi athlete equally supports two very important things: Supporting ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) through research and support of ALS families and leadership development for undergraduate members of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity.
At the end of each year calendar year, the LiveLikeLou Foundation grants dollars raised through Iron Phi to fund its initiatives that support ALS research, scholarships to support the higher education goals of ALS dependents, and summer camp experiences for children who have a parent or grandparent with ALS.
Dollars used for undergraduate leadership development have and continue to help Phi Delta Theta educate more of its undergraduate members as they work to “Become the Greatest Version of Themselves.”
