My Iron Phi Story
Welcome to My Personal Iron Phi Page
Hello!
This year, I am competing to become an Iron Phi. I don't want to bore anyone with details, so here's a link explaining exactly what an Iron Phi is. (http://support.ironphi.org/site/PageServer?pagename=About).
To keep it short and sweet, I am asking for donations. All the money will be going to Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease) Research. Why ALS? Because Lou Gehrig, who had ALS was a Brother of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity and thus our national philanthropy is ALS research.
It is a huge honor to be an Iron Phi within our organization. In order to be eligible, I need to compete in an event and also raise $1,000 for that event.
I will be competing in an event on November 2-3 called "Tough Mudder" (http://toughmudder.com/events/central-florida-2013/) along with a number of my Fraternity Brothers. If all of our Brothers in our group reach $10,000 in total donations, we have the honor of calling our chapter an "Iron Phi Chapter”, another distinguished achievement.
It would mean so much to my chapter and myself if you could please donate towards our cause, which is to provide resources to conduct research and ultimately finding a cure to ALS disease.

How Does My Donation Make a Difference?
Your donation towards an Iron Phi athlete equally supports two very important things: Supporting ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) through research and support of ALS families and leadership development for undergraduate members of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity.
At the end of each year calendar year, the LiveLikeLou Foundation grants dollars raised through Iron Phi to fund its initiatives that support ALS research, scholarships to support the higher education goals of ALS dependents, and summer camp experiences for children who have a parent or grandparent with ALS.
Dollars used for undergraduate leadership development have and continue to help Phi Delta Theta educate more of its undergraduate members as they work to “Become the Greatest Version of Themselves.”
