My Iron Phi Story
Driving for Home Runs- Time to Make A Change
This year, I'll be attempting to become an Iron Phi. In other words, I will be raising money for, as well as spreading awareness for ALS (or Lou Gherig’s Disease) to earn a very distinct honor and opportunity given to Phi Delt brothers. The fundraising is also accompanied by a “physical feat”. My athletic feat will be matching Lou Gherig’s career home run total of 493 in golf balls driven at a driving range in a single outing. Phi Delta Theta has done so much for me as an organization and I wanted to do something to give back to both the brotherhood, and our main philanthropy. I will be showing just how much the support of my brothers and family has strengthened me both mentally and physically and push my limits beyond anything I have done before.
Donations of any size are welcome and appreciated. I do hope you will help me reach my goal of $1,000 prior to the completion of my event. The tentative date of the golf outing is Saturday, September 14th and I will be posting on various forms of social media to keep everyone posted.

How Does My Donation Make a Difference?
Your donation towards an Iron Phi athlete equally supports two very important things: Supporting ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) through research and support of ALS families and leadership development for undergraduate members of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity.
At the end of each year calendar year, the LiveLikeLou Foundation grants dollars raised through Iron Phi to fund its initiatives that support ALS research, scholarships to support the higher education goals of ALS dependents, and summer camp experiences for children who have a parent or grandparent with ALS.
Dollars used for undergraduate leadership development have and continue to help Phi Delta Theta educate more of its undergraduate members as they work to “Become the Greatest Version of Themselves.”
