My Iron Phi Story
Welcome to Fred's ALS Fundraising Page
Via the LiveLikeLou Foundation, Iron Phi dollars support ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) cure research, summer camp experiences for children from ALS families, and Iron Horse Scholarships for ALS dependents as they pursue their higher education dreams.
Approximately 6,000 people in the U.S. are diagnosed with ALS each year, which averages to about 15 new cases each day. It is estimated that as many as 20,000 Americans have the disease at any given time and 350,000 to 500,000 people globally.
Unfortunately, ALS has claimed the lives of 7 close connections including my friend who was my age and who had a young family. I'm raising funds in honor of him and his family.
Thanks to everyone who contributed in the past. My Current Challenge is to take part in Lou's Olympics 2024! I'm working on cardio so taking part in the Leatherman's Loop 10k on April 28th.

How Does My Donation Make a Difference?
Your donation towards an Iron Phi athlete equally supports two very important things: Supporting ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) through research and support of ALS families and leadership development for undergraduate members of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity.
At the end of each year calendar year, the LiveLikeLou Foundation grants dollars raised through Iron Phi to fund its initiatives that support ALS research, scholarships to support the higher education goals of ALS dependents, and summer camp experiences for children who have a parent or grandparent with ALS.
Dollars used for undergraduate leadership development have and continue to help Phi Delta Theta educate more of its undergraduate members as they work to “Become the Greatest Version of Themselves.”
